Choose the style that fits your space:

Shade only: the Mycota lampshade on its own, ready to fit any standard E26 socket on a fixture or cord you already have.

Plug-in pendant: the lampshade with a high-quality 12ft braided fabric cord, standard E26 socket and built-in dimmer switch, plus teacup hooks for easy hanging.

Ceiling mount: the lampshade with an 8ft braided fabric cord, a single-port metal canopy plate and a metal E26 socket, for hardwiring to a ceiling junction box. Available in black, white, brushed nickel or brass hardware.

Add a Feit Electric dimmable LED bulb (9W, 2100K warm white) to any style, or bring your own. LED bulbs only.

Lampshade: 8 inches tall by 8 inches in diameter. The lamp shade opening is 1.65 inches.

Lampshade: PLA
Sourced from a small town in France, this filament is made by fermenting plant starch into polymerized strands of PLA. The ethereal colors are developed by combining the PLA with seashells sourced from local restaurants, which are washed and dried in a bucolic barn nestled in the Normandy countryside. Our current pigment options for the Mycota pendant include Scallop Shell and Mussel Shell.

Mycorrhizal networks have been discovered to serve as quasi nervous systems within forests, linking communication and resources between plants. Furthermore, fungi are key agents of decomposition, ensuring nutrient cycling and availability. When it comes to modern medicine, it turns out most antibiotics are derivative of fungal molecule innovations. The Kingdom Fungi is an unsung hero of life. While fruiting bodies are only a small part of mycelium magic, they are often the only part we get to observe. With this in mind, we designed the Mycota lamp to capture the subtle beauty of mushroom gills undulating across a spherical canvas. From stand-alone pendant lamps to retrofits, the Mycota lamp permeates tranquil illumination and balance among living energies.
